Every path begins with a single step — and this blog is one of mine.
I created Field Notes from the Path as a space to share stories, reflections, and inspirations from my journey with plants, healing, and the everyday practice of wellness. Potted Path is more than a business to me; it’s a living reminder that tending to ourselves is just as important as tending to the world around us.
For a long time, I moved through life at a pace that left little room to pause. Like many of us, I was constantly doing — working, showing up, pushing forward. Plants began to shift that for me. They asked me to slow down, to notice their quiet growth, their need for light, their resilience through seasons. In caring for them, I learned to care differently for myself.
Caring for my grandfather in his later years deepened that lesson. Supporting him meant moving at his pace — slower, more deliberate, more intentional. It wasn’t always easy, but it taught me that care is not just something we give, it’s a way of being. Each small act — pouring tea, preparing a meal, sitting quietly together — reminded me that presence is a gift. Plants echo that same truth: that growth and healing happen in their own time, and that tending with love makes all the difference.
This blog is where I’ll be gathering those lessons — my field notes — on pausing, reflecting, and nurturing well-being. Sometimes that will look like plant care tips. Sometimes it will be rituals for rest. Sometimes it will be personal stories about finding grounding in the midst of movement.
